Your bridge to the world of business in Chinese

The Chinese Language Program in Asian Studies at UBC offers two 3-credit Business Chinese courses, CHIN 321 and CHIN 323. These courses are very popular with students who have a medium-high proficiency level in Chinese and who have a business related major/minor or general interests in business.

Learning activities and initiatives

A variety of learning activities are used to encourage learning, such as online discussions, role plays, debate, presentation, and oral translation, etc. One important component of the course is our guest lecture series. Experts from different business areas such as banks/ investment companies, real estate, intellectual property rights, stock market, and environmental protection, etc., are invited to speak about their fields and work. The lectures not only shed light on textbook materials but also help students gain insights into the real business world.
